Olga Janáčková, Leoš Janáček´s daughter. Stop. Do we wish to know more? Or is her relationship with her famous father enough for us as a summary of a life, a story, a human destiny? An operatic (rail)road movie featuring the route from Hukvaldy – Brno – Vienna – St. Petersburg and back, with the image of one’s father constantly at one´s back, and life stretching out ahead. Well, perhaps. There is no happy end.

A musical-dramatic collage of selected works by Leoš Janáček (Amarus, Jenůfa, Elegy on the Death of My Daughter Olga, The Weeping Fountain, Wild Duck), songs by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and vocal works by Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky.

The production is a new project from the Opera Studio of the Brno Conservatory, prepared for the Janáček Brno 2022 festival
